The following is factual, and profound if you can allow it to reach you, touch you.
If you’re feeling lost in this world, or feel disconnected or separate from everything else, as if somehow your own life feels like a costume or a mask that you wear, one that you cannot seem to remove despite all your attempts, then please sit with this:
‘Here’, in this very moment, where you experience yourself to exist right now, is where you’re feeling this sense of ‘lost’.
But it is also ‘Here’, in this very moment, where you experience yourself to exist right now, where you might also potentially have an experience of yourself as being ‘found’.
The extraordinary thing is that both those ‘Here’s’ are one and the same. There is no distinction between them, despite your perception of time, despite the comings and goings of life’s events, and despite the severity of that sense of ‘lost’ you might be feeling.
Lost or found will be, and can only ever be experienced by you in the very same ‘Here’ of your own being. Time has no significance or consequence and nor does present circumstance, past experiences, or your beliefs.
And so the question you need to ask yourself then, is this:
‘What do I need to add to myself, or to this moment in which I feel lost, so I can change that feeling of lost into an experience of feeling found?’
And the answer is: Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
Ok, so maybe a better question might be this? ‘What do I need to subtract from myself, or from this moment in which I feel lost, so I can change that feeling of lost into an experience of feeling found?’
The answer is also: Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
So, if you are feeling lost, disconnected, or separated from everything else that exists, and you truly want to experience yourself as ‘found’, at home in yourself in the Universe, connected to everything..
There is nothing you need to add, and nothing you need to subtract from yourself, or from this moment, to change your experience from lost to found. Absolutely nothing.
This is a fact. How can you know it to be true?
The universe that appears right now in your consciousness, the very universe ‘within which’ you feel lost, is the very same universe that ‘appears within’ this same consciousness, when you are found. The universe has not changed. Consciousness has not changed. So it is only perception that can have changed, and perception is not the foundation it appears to be.
Your relationship with the Universe and everything in it is already profound. How can this not be your home?
Therefore, only one of these states can be real, and the other must be imagined.
Sit with this until it lands.
